Now seeking an HR Assistant to to join the County's Human Resources team.
This position works in the Commissioners' Office and performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operation of the County's Human Resources Department.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organization and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Qualifications:
Completion of secondary education or equivalent; two (2) to four (4) years' experience in performance of advanced clerical tasks, office administration, and human resources; ability to work quickly and accurately; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management and human resource systems.
Experience with recruitment, benefits administration, and payroll processing preferred.
Selected individual must also be capable of passing a comprehensive pre-employment background investigation.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
