Pullet Farm Manager

Supervising and assisting in the daily care of pullets;
Ensuring food, water, and environmental compliance and permits are met;
Scheduling employee hours, and training and supervising the employees;
Documenting the care given to the birds and completing management reports;
Supervising and assisting with vaccinations, blood draws and submission to labs;
Maintaining the equipment and generator needed to operate the farm, and responding to emergency alarms;
Ensuring that all safety, sanitation, procedures and policies are followed;
Managing expenses to stay within budget guidelines;
Attending management meetings as needed.
EDUCATION: A 4-year degree in Poultry Management or similar disciplines is preferred.
Experience:
3
years of experience in the intake, care and moving of adolescent chickens;
Maintenance experience with electrical and mechanical equipment;
Experience operating tractors and skid loaders;
Supervisory experience with proven ability to train, motivate, coach, discipline and retain a talented workforce;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Ability to manage multiple priorities;
Proficient computer skills including Windows based programs and systems.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
