Position
Summary:
Scotts Miracle-Gro established the Global Business Process Team to help enable the Company and its Associates to operate more efficiently and effectively. The scope of Global Business Process team includes business process optimization, project management, acquisition integration, productivity improvements, and sustaining process changes.
The position will be responsible for supporting the Manager's for Global Business Process in leading, managing, and successfully executing projects in support of the above strategy.
Key Accountabilities and
Responsibilities:
Help create and update project management methodology documentation for projects in flight or under consideration
Conduct research as needed on new technologies or to understand applicability of initiatives under consideration
Work independently providing high quality deliverables related to projects as assigned, using the BT methodology
Assist in planning and supporting execution for projects in GBP Team
Effectively work together with the business when needed and consulting resources of the project team
Assist the business project manager in getting all deliverables completed on time
Assist with the preparation for Project Steering Committee meetings and Advisory Board meetings
Follow up to ensure timely action for resolution or appropriate escalation where required, for the project team.
Expected to function with minimal supervision.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
Detail oriented and well organized
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work on cross-functional project teams and distill complex challenges to easy to understand concepts
Prior experience with business process design desired
An interest and or familiarity with Digital Marketing, Google, SAP and/or leading technologies desired
Strong financial acumen desired; the ability to distill financial information and organize the data in an understandable format
Experience with Google Docs and Google App Script development helpful
Supervision Exercised:
Number of regular positions directly supervised (indicate # full time and # part time): No Direct Supervision of Associates
Authority position holds across the organization:
Budget accountability in volume or assets of the role are: None.
Qualifications: Education:
Minimum: Working on Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Services, Computer Science, or related work experience.
