Job Title: Power Tool Repair/Calibration Technician
Power Tool Repair/Calibration Technician Job Purpose:
Maintains torque assembly and measuring equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting deficiencies; making adjustments and repairs; keeping records.
Power Tool Repair/Calibration Technician Job Duties:
Determines assembly tools such as pulse tools, clutch tools, battery tools, DC electric tools, sanders, grinders, riveters, etc. condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
Corrects assembly tool deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, or parts, such as, pulse units, air motors, or electrical; makes adjustments and alignments.
Verifies tool performance by conducting tests utilizing joint simulators; adjusts controls and systems.
Maintains tool service records by annotating services and repairs in Gage InSite database.
Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Represents Technical Maintenance Inc. in a positive manner.
Calibrates torque wrenches using torque wrench calibrator; enters and maintains records and data associated with such calibrations.
Calibrates torque analyzers using torque arm and weights; enters and maintains records and data associated with such calibrations.
Calibrates other test and measurement equipment as trained and qualified per training records.
Performs other job duties as assigned.

Strong mechanical aptitude, Tooling, Supply Management, Mechanical Inspection Tools, Technical Understanding, Attention to Detail, Dependability, Thoroughness, Verbal Communication, Documentation Skills, Inventory Control, Job Knowledge
Minimum Requirements:
3 years relevant experience
Outstanding customer skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Strong keyboard/PC skills
Positive, eager to learn attitude
US Citizen
Valid driver's license with dependable transportation
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
